Zhuhai, located to the West bank of the Pearl River meeting the sea is a large scale city of 3 million people and features some wonderful, un-touched beaches and scenic spots in the nearby mountains. The area is relitavely new to tourism and is only really busy in the resorts and selected areas. It's easy to find a quiet, empty and peaceful location here.
Zhuhai's location is ideal because Macau borders the city and there are regular 45 minute boats to Hong Kong and Shenzhen all the time. Guangzhou is just 2 hours on the bus as well.
The climate in Zhuhai is less polluted and being a second tier city Zhuhai is cheaper than Shenzhen and Guangzhou. You're likely to have more disposable income on a lower salary in Zhuhai than in Shenzhen or Guangzhou.
Zhuhai is also a calmer, quieter city. Less international than Guangzhou, but still features all the chains such as Mc Donalds, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Subway etc.
There are many beautiful beaches near Zhuhai to explore as well as a number of modern and trendy bars and clubs.
Zhuhai is a great choice for the new and returning visitors.
