up to 1.7 million Residents in Beijing has been vaccinated for the control and prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic for Saturday from the capital initiated inoculations on January 1, according to a Beijing report daily on Sunday.

The Health Authority began vaccines for nine key groups of individuals at the beginning of the year.

These people include customer inspection workers who deal with imported cold-chain products, goalkeepers in the ports of entry and those who work in the international and domestic transport industries. Delivery workers, people who travel abroad for labor or personal reasons, medical workers and government department workers are also included.

According to authority, 50,000 delivery workers have received vaccination and the remaining 30,000 will be vaccinated per Monday.

At present, the 205 medical centers in total can provide a vaccination service. They do not accept individual reserves for vaccination. The Municipal Authority plans to complete this vaccination work phase before the Chinese Lunar New Year, which will fall on February 12.
