Tripoli, November 21 (Xinhua) - Prime Minister of Libya Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah announced on Sunday that is running for president.

DBEIBAH made the announcement in a televised speech, saying that he has submitted the candidacy of him to the next presidential elections.

"There will be no war, and Libya will be sovereign and united," the prime minister noticed.

DBEIBAH was appointed as the Prime Minister of the Government of the National Unit in February by the UN sponsored UN Libyan Dialogue Forum (LPDF).

Libya expects to hold general elections on December 24 as part of a roadmap adopted by LPDF.

The House of Representatives, the Libyan Parliament, approved the Presidential Electoral Law in September and the Law of Parliamentary Elections in October. EndItem
